
Part of the Keppel Philippines Group, Subic Yard undertakes a wide spectrum of high quality repair, conversion and fabrication projects for ship owners and oil rig operators.
Located in the Special Economic Zone of Subic, Keppel Subic Shipyard features one of the largest drydocks in the Philippines. The 550m by 65m dock is capable of co-drydockings, providing greater flexibility and turnaround times for ship owners.
The yard have undertaken the repair and conversion of supertankers, including the conversion of a single hull tanker to double hull, and the modification of hulls for FPSOs. They also specialise in coal transhipper conversion work having completed several such vessels in recent years.
In addition, they routinely carry out reconditioning work and steel fabrication for onshore, marine and offshore structures.
Keppel Subic Bay Completes BWMS installation ahead of schedule
Keppel Subic received MV “Nord Savannah”, a bulk carrier vessel from Nissen Kaiun Co. Ltd of Japan on 25th April 2018 for repair jobs scheduled to complete with an initial period of five days. Upon its arrival in the yard, the Owner decided to award the Ballast Water Management System project and the Keppel Subic Team, always with their ‘CAN DO” spirit and mindset, the job was completed ahead of the agreed schedule. Owner commended the yard for the safe, quality and timely completion of the job.
